HDPE
High-Density Polyethylene
One of the most widely recycled plastics in Uganda. Rigid, impact-resistant, and chemically stable — HDPE is our highest-volume intake, collected from households, businesses, and industrial sites.
LDPE
Low-Density Polyethylene
Flexible, lightweight, and collected in bulk from commercial and domestic sources. LDPE bags and films represent a large proportion of Uganda's plastic waste stream and are fully accepted at our facility.
PP
Polypropylene
Durable, heat-resistant, and chemically stable — polypropylene is found across Uganda's informal and formal economy in everything from bottle caps and woven sacks to food containers and industrial packaging.
PVC
Polyvinyl Chloride
We collect clean, uncontaminated PVC from construction, infrastructure, and industrial sources. PVC pipes, cable insulation, and window profiles are processed separately to ensure safe, compliant handling.
PET
Polyethylene Terephthalate
The most commonly collected plastic globally, and a key stream in Uganda's recycling economy. PET bottles from water, soft drinks, and consumer goods are sorted, baled, and processed at our Sonde facility.
Aluminium
Aluminium Metal
Infinitely recyclable and highly valuable, aluminium from beverage cans, food packaging, and industrial scrap is collected alongside our plastic streams — offering suppliers an additional revenue source.
Materials should be rinsed and free of food residue or liquids before drop-off.
Pre-sort by resin code where possible. Mixed loads are accepted but may attract lower rates.
Bottle caps and paper labels do not need to be removed — our processing handles this.
We do not accept chemical drums, medical waste, asbestos, or contaminated material.
